Hehn is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (CA #102834) who is interested in supporting clients who struggle with their interpersonal relationships as well as the relationship they have with food and body image. They have gained experience working with high-risk clients during their time of answering calls on a suicide lifeline as well as when working at an intensive outpatient facility. Currently, Hehn is under clinical supervision by Dr. McCurdy-McKinnon (CA #25161). They are passionate about working with LGBTQ young adult individuals and couples in order to establish adaptive coping skills and implement effective communication. Hehn utilizes Attachment theory, Crisis Intervention Theory, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy when supporting clients with suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, relationships issues, and low self-esteem. Hehn trusts that the clients ultimately have the answers within themselves, and simply hopes to guide clients in building their autonomy so that they are better able to manage their daily struggles on their own. Hehn believes all individuals deserve to have a safe and compassionate environment and attempts to create that space when working with clients.
